I can't afford paying a shop $$$$ just to look at it let alone fix it.2016 CenTurion Enzo sv244 - REDUCED !!!!! Not made of money so I'm trying to figure this out on my own. is it possible my engine didn't get too hot just the exhaust manifolds?ģ- on the fake a lake I could feel the suction and it's really good. a 160 thermostat should begin to open at 160 and be fully open by 170'ish correct? Both the old and new don't even begin to open until 180.Ģ- no alarms sounded and my oil/temp light never went on. I desperately need your help guys! No one can give me straight answers on this stuff:ġ- on the stove with water temp test. My gut told me this damn thermostat wasn't keeping the engine cool enough but I trusted the recommended part number. ![]() steam spewing out one of my rubber exhaust hoses coming from the manifold. Shut her down, temp gauge reading 225, open hatch and there it is. Throttle down past the buoys and not 30 seconds later I hear boiling noise and smell rubber. While in no wake zone going out again after getting fuel the kids distracted me just for a moment. Then, after a day of pulling the kids on the raft it happened: Nervous as hell checking temp constantly. she ran a constant 175 (which troubled me)and above sometimes at no wake zone speeds. Watched temp climb to 170-175 then steady which a few of you have said is normal. Ran her with fake a lake for literally 25 minutes with no issues at all. the part number in the pcm manual R026002. a lot! Replaced thermostat with a "supposedly" 160 thermostat. ![]()
